Project Description:
The French Laundry is located in the heart of the Napa Valley in the picturesque City
of Yountville. Uncompromised quality, lack of space and preservation
of tranquility of the restaurant and its garden made the expansion
of the kitchen, updating the restaurant HVAC system and new office building
a unique challenge.
We used a geo-loop heat exchanger to provide pre-cooling
for kitchen make-up units and to serve dining room heat pumps. The
design covered HVAC, plumbing and fire protection. MK2 Engineers closely assisted in construction administration.
Our expertise
in historical building renovation and innovative design solutions
was essential in incorporating state of the art technology to serve
the expended facility.
