Senior Plumbing Engineer:
Located in the world famous Napa Valley, MK2 Engineering, Inc. is a consulting engineering firm specializing in inventive, energy efficient design of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems for wineries, schools, universities, commercial and health care facilities. MK2 is currently searching for a qualified Senior Plumbing Engineer for plumbing design and project management for commercial, institutional, education, healthcare and governmental facility projects. Technical Qualifications:
CIPE/CPD
10 yrs. Consulting Engineering Experience
Good written and verbal communication
California PE license a plus
LEED AP a plus
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Plumbing Engineer, you will be expected to perform Plumbing Engineering services from schematic design through construction documents. Experience needs to include building domestic water delivery systems, sanitary and drainage systems, fire protection systems, fuel gas systems and medical gas systems. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of plumbing design projects including equipment selection, specifications, systems design, layout, calculations, and field visits with minimal supervision. You will also be responsible for basic oversight of the profitability and timeliness of production; support the design and engineering of plumbing systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement, and system upgrades.
Other responsibilities include: design of water, sewer, storm drain, hot water generation, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, construction administration; consulting responsibilities including preparation of due diligence and feasibility reports. Strong oral and written skills plus CADD experience a must. Should be able to demonstrate experience and proficiency in design, shop drawing review, cost estimating, report writing and system analysis. Thorough familiarity and understanding of fire protection system design. Need to be able to interface with clients, attend meetings and presentations. Ability to supervise others.
